The Tai Chi club is run for the Welwyn/Hatfield University of the Third Age (U3A) members on Thursdays 2-3pm during term times. Anyone is free to come and watch but you have to join the U3A in order to participate. The U3A is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full-time paid employment which aims to provide opportunities for continuing intellectual, cultural and aesthetic development for its members. The annual membership fee is around £16.
Tai Chi is a form of slow exercise particularly suited to older people. It originates from China and is practised daily by many millions of people all over the world. It is elegant and captivating to watch. Participants find that it calms the mind, improves balance, co-ordination and flexibility whilst exercising the joints without any strain. The Welwyn Hatfield U3A is a thriving organisation for those individuals who are no longer working full time but wish to continue their learning through a range of actvities which promote intellectual, cultural, practical and aesthetic development. We are a self-help group learning from each other's experiences. We now have approximately 800 members and there are over 60 study groups which meet regularly. We hold weekly meetings on a Wednesday which are held alternately between Ludwick Hall and Breaks Manor. Speakers cover a wide range of topics, from, for example, stories about living in the walls of the Tower of London to Explorations in Antarctica. The doors open at 10am and talks start at 10.45am. Graham School of Dance offers outstanding tuition in the Performing Arts for girls and boys from the age of 2 to 18, from absolute beginners to those wishing to train at the highest level. Runaround Rascals Welwyn Stay & Play is great fun for your little ones and a way to make new mummy and daddy friends.
Soft play is an ideal way for your little ones to play in a safe environment and at a location to suit you. Soft play encourages interaction and physical development by jumping, crawling and moving around and is designed to stimulate and captivate your little ones.

Our equipment is suitable for 0-5 year olds and provides a fun environment which includes soft play shapes, ball pool, rockers, tunnels, ride ons and a bouncy castle.
